National lottery community fund
Thanks to the National Lottery, we are able to host fully funded basic maintenance sessions for those that need it most. These can be run at your local school, community centre or club HQ. We provide bikes, tools and work stands for up to 12 per session, you just need to turn up.
schools
Our funded school-based bike workshops give pupils the chance to learn practical skills that make cycling safer, easier and more enjoyable. We work closely with teachers and parents to help children look after the bikes they rely on for getting to school and after‑school activities, reducing stress for families and encouraging active travel. By delivering fun, hands‑on sessions on site, we help schools build a culture of confidence, independence and everyday wellbeing around cycling.
communities
Our funded bicycle maintenance sessions give young people in deprived communities the skills and confidence to keep their bikes safe and reliable. By bringing tools, training and support directly into local spaces, we help remove transport barriers, boost independence and create healthier, more connected neighbourhoods.
Cycling clubs
Our funded club-focused maintenance workshops give cycling clubs a practical way to build skills, confidence and self‑reliance across all ages and abilities. We support young riders, parents and volunteers by teaching essential checks, simple repairs and safe setup techniques that keep bikes running smoothly during training and club rides. Sessions are hands‑on, friendly and tailored to mixed‑ability groups, helping clubs reduce mechanical issues, improve rider safety and strengthen the supportive, community‑driven environment that keeps people engaged in cycling.
